Spent five days at my Parents' in the grand metropolis of Broadview, Saskatchewan. It's as nice a prairie town as you could ever hope to meet. I got barcoded at the library this time around. This just means that next time I'm in town it won't take half an hour to take out a book. One of the great things about Saskatchewan is the library system. I can take books out of the Broadview branch of the Public Library, and return them in Prince Albert when I'm finished reading them. Likewise, if I'm half through a book at home, I can take it with me and return it wherever I am when I'm done.
After a week making dilled cucumber pickles and dilled carrots and pickled beets, I pit-stopped at home long enough to do a load of laundry and fry up some bacon and eggs for brunch this morning before I hit the road for Saskatoon to spend the weekend with my sister-in-law. I brought daughter #2 along so she could do some shopping and get her back to school hair cut. We'll hand her off to her Grandmother tomorrow morning at church. Nana will deliver her to the afternoon bus after lunch.
I'm not sure what the weekend will hold.
A lot of taking it easy I think.
Maybe I'll start writing The Great Canadian Novel.
Maybe I'll finish reading "War and Peace".
Maybe I'll just sleep and sleep and sleep.
Time to go start kickin' back.
