...As I was going to St. Ives I met a man with seven wives; each wife had seven sacks, each sack had seven cats, each sack had seven kits; kits, cats, sacks, wives... how many were going to St. Ives?...but I digress.
That's OK. None of that made much sense to me either. I'll just try to think of 7 things, times 7....I spent far too long on this one...
Seven things to do before I die:
1. be a published author
2. get a royalty cheque for a song I've written
3. travel from coast to coast in Canada
4. hear the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra in Vienna
5. visit Shrewsbury, England
6. drink wine in Provence and Tuscany
7. explore Europe and Asia
Seven things I cannot do:
1. tell a lie
2. stay mad for a long time
3. tell a spark plug from a computer plug
4. reach the top shelf of...anything
5. run a marathon
6. "drive" a car in an X-Box race
7. remember how to crotchet
Seven things that attract me to my spouse:
1. his sense of humour
2. he believes in me
3. he loves me
4. he is strong and grounded
5. his sexy feet
6. he looks so good in a suit
7. he protects me
Seven things I say most often:
1. that's enough
2. cut it out, right now
3. have a glass of milk and go to bed
4. just a minute
5. I'm sorry, he's not here at the moment. Have you tried the church?
6. I don't know
7. we'll see
Seven books I love:
1. The Hobbit
2. The Sneetches and Other Stories (Dr. Seuss)
3. A Morbid Taste For Bones (and anything else by Ellis Peters/ Edith Pargeter)
4. The Lord of The Rings
5. Horton Hatches The Egg
6. Chronicles of Narnia
7. The Harry Potter books
Seven movies I would watch over and over again:
1. Seven Brides For Seven Brothers
2. Guys and Dolls
3. How The Grinch Stole Christmas (The Original- not the one with Jim Carrey)
4. Love Actually
5. Charlie Brown Christmas
6. Arsenic and Old Lace
7. Fiddler on The Roof (especially the first half)
Seven people I want to join in too: (NOTE: If you don't have a spouse, make it seven things that you think will attract you/ that you admire/ notice in the opposite sex, or a potential mate)
Wow. Your "7 Things to do Before I Die" are remarkably similar to what mine would be.
ReplyDeleteOh dear, Linea, what have you done?
ReplyDeleteToni - I didn't start this you know!
ReplyDeleteAh, honey, I shall do when I get home. This will be easier than a normal entry during my whiny season;).
ReplyDeleteI'm most looking forward to Micah's list of things he admires in a potential mate... considering he's only 11. Could be amusing!
