A New Verdict

I was at the Chiropractor's this morning.

I've been having trouble with my left shoulder since THAT DAY in February, and it just doesn't seem to get better.

This morning he pinpointed... until I begged him to stop... a ripped muscle in my left pectoral muscle.

So... the "pull your arm forward by the elbow to stretch the shoulder muscle" exercise... not so good anymore. Also the "rolling pin motion" and vacuuming... anything that puts pressure and forward stress on it, not so good.

Now it's backward arm stretches. And stand up straight. And pressure point massage the offending sinew. And no left hand vacuuming. And no cinnamon buns or sugar cookies for awhile.

They say admitting you have a problem is the first step toward recovery.

Maybe knowing what it is is the second!

  2. Pretty inventive, if I do say so myself;-))

Praying for your healing, but not too quickly, Lord, please......(can I ask that????...well, I just did).

  3. I'm amazed, as soon as I'm aware that the twinges aren't a good thing, how MANY things use that muscle and make it twinge... carrying the laundry basket, pulling heavy things out of the washer, folding clothes for pete's sake; not to mention washing dishes, lifting a large pan to drain the spaghetti...sweeping, changing the sheets... this could turn out to be almost as good as Caribbean Cruise!... (if I actually stopped doing things when they make my muscle twinge...)
