No, really.
I am.
I kind of thought Micah would be the first one to proclaim these words throughout the house... but
He left for camp this morning.
It's quiet...
The air conditioner in the window is making a racket, but the people noises are at a minimum...
Very strange.
I have that restless sort of feeling that comes with being tired, when you don't want to go sleep.
Restless...
Yeah.
I'm bored and there's nothing to do.
: )
What did I always tell the kids?
Mm... I remember:
Here's a quarter to phone someone who cares. Find something to do, or I'll find something for you. Go for a bike ride. Clean up your room. Quit bugging your sister. Go mow the lawn. Quit bugging me. Go to the library and get a book. Read a book. Go for a walk. Go outside. Go away.
Myeah, well.
If all else fails, take the cushions and go sit on the porch swing. And pretend to read a book.
Or wake up the sleeping husband...
Maybe he'll play with me.
I had trouble sleeping with the house so quiet. The peacefulness around here changes everything. Micah was nice to have with on the drive down. I let him sit in front for the last leg so he could stretch those long legs. Brave to go with so many girls. He definitely gets the prize for packing light. I could hardly lift a couple of the girl's bags!
