Back Up And Running

We've been fighting with the telephone/ television/ Internet lines for about 3 days now.

Someone finally made it over to see what was going on.

Of course it would be on the one morning, after 5 consecutive midnight retirements in a row, that I don't have to be ready to go somewhere before 9:00 so I was planning to sleep in a bit...

Anyway.

Be that as it may.

I jumped out of bed to answer the phone at 8:45.

And was out of the shower and dressed enough to receive the Sasktel employee who showed up at the door 10 minutes later.

And we have a crackle-free phone line again.

And the Internet and television have a signal again.

And I am ready an hour and a half early for my 11:00 appointment.

And the Sasktel employee's ladder didn't slip in the mucky back alley or get struck by lightening, so I didn't have to run next door to phone 911 because, you remember, we had no dial tone. (this is how my mind works as I watch her trying to secure the feet of the ladder while the thunder clouds roll in)

Here's hoping there are no disruptions today, as it promises to be another stormy one.
