After a late night and an early start
I'm here in Chicago.
No problems with luggage or customs or getting into the country.
No problems with flights or connections.
And it's not even as hot and humid as I thought it might be.
Today, at least.
We'll see what tomorrow brings.
But today was good.
We got here a half hour early (tail wind...) at 12:30 central time and it's all good.
Tonight we were at Millennium Park (?) for the last bit of a free Chicago Symphony concert and the most amazing fireworks display I think I've ever seen.
And now it's 11:30, and I'm looking forward to some sleep.
Can't promise I'll update much before I get home next Thursday night, but at least y'all know I got here in one piece.
Two if you count the suitcase.
Hearing about your trip makes me feel strangely "homesick" for Chicago, and we only lived there for a couple of years of seminary. Crazy!
ReplyDeleteBe sure to have a Chicago hot dog for me, okay?
