I was watching an episode of "Jon & Kate Plus 8" while I washed the dishes.
Halfway through the program I noticed that during the "this is the part where Jon & Kate sit on their couch and talk about what you're watching" sections, Jon was wearing a brown shirt with something written across the front.
It was in two layers...
I thought the first layer said "Isaiah" and became intrigued.
It took until the end of the show for me to decipher "40" and "31" underneath.
I had to look it up.
The verse?
" But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.
They will soar high on wings like eagles.
They will run and not grow weary.
They will walk and not faint."
I had to chuckle.
Ironic or ever optimistic, I can't think of a more hopeful Scripture for a man with 6 preschoolers and 2 near-tweens...
That scares me. What is the definition of a "tween" b/c those twins are only 2 years older than my Madeline!
ReplyDeleteI get the impression from "Family Circle" (I haven't renewed that subscription... when will they stop sending it?!) that a "tween" is a kid who's not quite a "pre-teen". There's Teens, Pre-teens, (10-12?) and "Tweens" who are probably 8-10.
ReplyDeleteTechnically Jon & Kate's twins aren't "tweens" yet maybe, but they're getting close.
I always said I'd blame teething for their mood swings/ bad moods until they were about 8. Then I'd blame PMS.
That's funny.
