Micah was very hopeful concerned that school might be cancelled today because of the wind and snow we were experiencing yesterday afternoon and evening.
So this morning, like a good Mom, I dug out the latest copy of the School newsletter in which they had made note of the local radio stations to listen to for School closure news.
After a little Internet research to find the frequencies that went with the listed call letters, I tuned in.
CFCW (790 AM) seemed to be a lovely country station.
Not that there's anything wrong with that...
But as it wasn't coming in very clearly to begin with, and kept crackling and fuzzing out to end with,
I switched over to KJR (1440 AM).
That was about 2.5 hours ago.
This one seems to be what might be called, "Classic Rock", or "Golden Oldies" or something.
The sad thing about listening to a station that seems to be lost in the 60's and 70's
Is that I know most of the words to most of the songs...
Sigh.
Another confirmation that the pains in my hips and knees are not just about frequently tripping up the stairs.

" 'Does somebody know how to drive this thing, yelled the Captain as he fell to his knees; I think I mighta had a little too much today, take me to my cabin please.' Cruisin' on a sardine boat, loaded with crazy people, And we shall be the Santa Maria, lookin' for a brave new world... "
