they sound so much cuter and innocent and worthy of protection when you call them Richardson's Ground Squirrels as opposed to gophers.
They better run and hide. My hubby is going hunting this weekend, using something a wee bit more powerful than a pellet gun. I may go along and shoot a coffee can. We'll see!
