I've been waiting for Micah to finish his English essay rewrite for the better part of 3 hours already, so I can get on my computer.
He's using it because the family computer doesn't have the word processing program he's used to.
Poor Randall's been helping him.
And now it's 11:30.
And we're tired.
You'd think we'd be full of energy and vitality, having just returned from the Pastor's and Spouses retreat in Banff, but alas, no.
It was a good time although we stayed up too late both nights, and I was awake way too early both mornings.
Micah did great staying by himself. I am really proud of him.
One of these days we'll catch up... but not today.
Probably not tomorrow either.
We're expecting an influx of holiday makers, so tomorrow will be a continuation of today's preliminary preparations.
Beds to blow up, sheets and blankets to find, buns and cookies to bake, sauce and syrup to make, turkeys to thaw and roast... not to mention the bathrooms that need to be cleaned...
And then there will be College children to fetch, and others to wait for.
I'm thinking Christmas will be anti-climactic this year.
It all sounds very busy and wonderful. May it all be blessed as well.
