I'm glad that the barometer seems to be living in Wistful Vista since yesterday morning. This is the second cool, cloudy, rainy day that has had the Indoor/Outdoor weather station showing sunshine and rising air pressure.
I certainly don't mind.
I even mixed up a batch of bread at noon. Haven't baked bread all summer.
It makes me hopeful that cooler autumn weather is on the way, and with it, perhaps, the end of the mosquitoes and hot, humid temperatures. Even if it might signify the end of summer.
I guess I should get back to it.
While the bread is rising in the pans I'm going to sew up my quilt block for the class tomorrow.
A nice relaxed feeling to a day like this.
If the quilt block sews up quickly I may be seduced by the front room and my Margery Allingham mystery... with a good cup of tea, of course.
Incentive is always a good thing.
I, for one, can't wait for summer to be over. I love the cooler nights, the changing of the leaves and the crispness in the air. Autumn...bring it on. :)
