I think I'm ready to go...
The suitcase is packed, anyway. I'm still not sure which purse or bag will be my carry-on luggage, but there's time to decide yet.
The plane leaves just after midnight, so technically I don't have to be at the airport until 11:00 pm. Whether Randall wants to be getting home so late after being in town for the 6:30 am prayer meeting is another question. I've suggested leaving home around 9:00 so he can be home by 11:00, but he's not sure I'd really like to check in 2 or 3 hours early to hang out in front of the departure gate until boarding time.
We'll see how that goes.
The important thing is that I'm packed, I've remembered to renew my library books so they're not overdue for two weeks, I made a (far too detailed, according to The Husband) list of food in the freezer and how to cook it, there are cookies and cinnamon buns in the other freezer, milk and bread and eggs have been purchased so they won't have to worry about groceries for a few days at least...
I'm as ready as I'll ever be.
Tomorrow morning I'll be meeting my sister at the Northbay airport, and we'll be on our way to her resort for a week. She's got a group of Ontario fishermen coming for the weekend and she wanted some company and help with the catering while her husband's away.
I expect it will be more fun than work, as she's been very efficient and much of the cooking's been done and sent to her freezer already. We Hedman girls know what a freezer's for :)
Ah, well.
The guys should be alright while I'm gone, and they'll probably appreciate me anew when I get back next Wednesday.
Since it doesn't look like I'll have time for a nap before we go, I should at least water the plants and decide on my carry-on.
I'm not promising to keep you updated while I'm away, so have a good week, all.
The River awaits.
an adventure ... how fun :)
