As an aside, I recommend the "Mini Donut Pan" that's coming up for sale in your Avon catalogues.
I got one as a "demo", and I used the recipe that came with it this afternoon to make mini donuts for Micah's after school snack.
AWESOME!
Let me clarify that I only mixed up 1/3 of the recipe (the whole recipe calls for 3 cups of flour and 3 eggs, so it was pretty easy to divide by 3) , and instead of making the icing glaze I dipped them in melted butter after they were baked and rolled them in cinnamon and sugar. That portion of the recipe made about 2 dozen mini donuts akin to those we used to buy at the Forks in Winnipeg for a treat.
So fun!
That's all.
Now call your Avon Representatives and tell them Lauralea sent you!
Mine were more mini-cakes than mini-donuts, but still delicious.
ReplyDeleteI would recommend using a mini muffin pan, if you have it, or a regular muffin pan. And only drop about 1 tsp of batter per donut, otherwise they're too big.
